TM Development Director Position

Ministry History
Founded in 1869, Transformation Ministries is a God-empowered movement of baptistic churches dedicated to building a strong association of churches committed to Biblical authority, and who join together as partners to accomplish God’s mission-objective of transforming unbelievers through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

In 2009, Transformation Ministries completed a strategic planning process and embraced a new vision, mission and core values. The Ministry’s mission focuses on three core competencies:

  • Deepening and developing pastors as spiritual leaders
  • Coaching and networking churches toward greater health and missional vitality
  • Supporting and initiating viable church planting partnerships.

Overview
The Development Director is responsible for managing a comprehensive development program and related activities, including working in conjunction with staff coordinating covenant contributions of member congregations, developing and managing the annual giving and planned giving programs, recruiting and training volunteers involved in fundraising, providing leadership to the financial development council, researching and writing foundation grants, and writing effective mailings. The Development Director will maintain and manage a database for tracking donors, donor prospects, gifts, and recognition in coordination with support staff. The Development Director will communicate effectively with the CEO/Mission Lead, Board directors, volunteers and constituents.

Pastoral Job Opportunities
It is our policy not to list specific churches that are seeking to fill lead pastor positions.  All Transformation Ministries Covenanting Churches searching for a pastor enter into a placement process: church-wide assessment, development of the search team, and preparation of placement materials.  Therefore, only a small number of churches are actually reviewing pastoral applications at any given time.

There are a number of pastoral positions available within the Transformation Ministries churches.  In order to be considered for a pastoral position in a Transformation Ministries Covenanting Church, pastors must fill out a Pastoral Application.  In addition, some churches seek an associate pastor (worship, teaching, discipleship, spiritual formation), and occasionally we are able to offer recommendations.

Note to pastors seeking placement in one of our churches:  Please review our process and application materialsPastors seeking Interim Ministry.
