Pastoral News


 

Pomona First Baptist
has announced that Josh Husmann, Pastor to the Rising, is being sent out this fall to start a church in Fishers-Carmel area of greater Indianapolis. The church will be planted in partnership with TM, the second TM church plant outside traditional PSW geography. Josh is looking to build strategic partnerships. Interested? Pray for Josh and Lisa as they take this bold step for the Kingdom.

 

 

Dale Saxon is the Interim Senior Pastor of Bellevue Heights Church in Sun City, AZ.


♦ Pastor Selvin De Leon will be installed in August as the new senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Paramount, where he has served as Associate Pastor for several years.


♦ Jason Oakes
has been called as Senior Pastor of Community Baptist Church of Fallbrook.


♦ Ron Cooley,
recently retired U.S. Navy Chaplain, is now the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Joshua Tree.


♦ Juan Francisco Kuk is the Transitional Pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista Principe de Paz of Santa Ana.


Pastor Peter Chou is the interim pastor of Irvine First Chinese Baptist Church.


Pastor Jonathan Archer, Sr, has been called to serve as interim pastor at First Baptist Church of Brawley.


Transitions

 



Iris Morales, IM missionary in Bolivia, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2010, after a brave fight with cancer. Please pray for her, her husband Mario, and their two sons (17 and 20 years old) at this difficult time.

 


 


♦ Dr. Joseph (José) Juárez, 91, went home to be with the Lord recently.  Dr. Juárez served several pastorates in Southern California and Arizona during his many years of ministry.   He is survived by his wife, Delfina (Dee). 

  


 Camps
 

After extensive preparation for summer, training summer staff and preparing the camps for outreach to so many young people, our three camps are now in the midst of a busy, exciting summer of ministry.

as he continues to experience serious health-related issues.

Pastor Jimmie Hubbard, East Village Community Church of San Diego, has recovered well from recent surgery.

 

Pastor Dick Sullender, First Baptist Church of Monrovia-Arcadia, has made a remarkable recovery from hip replacement surgery.


♦ The blessings experienced by Faye Powell, former board president, as she has undergone seven weeks of radiation at City of Hope, and for all the volunteers who have provided the transportation from Victorville each day.

♦ First Baptist Church of Joshua Tree reports that attendance has tripled in recent months under the leadership of new Pastor Ron Cooley.
