Our Team of Ministry Coaches:

Have extensive and ongoing training in working with Search Teams
Provide ongoing training for Interim Pastors and Transitional Interim Pastors
Maintain contacts with leaders across the country providing us support, resources, as well as names of pastoral candidates
Screen all pastoral applications, especially those who are unfamiliar with us and/or come from a different affiliation
Provide tools and Resources for Search Teams
Select a Search Team
Assign Roles and Responsibilities of the Search Team
Provide Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board Salary Worksheet

NOTE: We do not choose or place pastors in churches. Our role is to identify potential candidates for the Search Team to consider.

Finding an Interim Pastor

We are ready to help you in the process of selection and goal setting for the interim period by:

Defining and clarifying the goals of the interim period and the roles of the interim pastor
Offering resumes and referrals of interim pastors
Writing a job description for an interim and setting up a church board/council during the interim period
Providing resources for interviewing and selecting an interim pastor
Completing Church-Interim Agreement

Types of Pastors for the Interim Period Between Pastors (The type of interim ministry choice and the choice of personnel is the responsibility of the local church in cooperation with your TM Church Ministry Coach.)

Pulpit Supply - one or more weeks at various times during the interim
Interim Pastors - full- or part-time pastors providing basic pastoral skills
Transitional Interims - leads the congregation in making basic changes to prepare the church for leadership by a new pastor (Special training is required of Transitional Interim Pastors.)
