PASTORS SEEKING CHURCHES
The Ministry maintains profiles/resumes of pastors who are seeking a Covenanting Transformation Ministries Church, by providing a complete set of documents that help us make the best recommendations to our churches. Some gifted pastors may be interested in a specific situation, but do not have an application on file. From time to time, we may contact pastors who have the skills a specific church is seeking.
Congregations often consider many types of pastoral positions: senior pastors of multi-staff congregations, solo pastors of smaller congregations, associate pastors, executive pastors, pastors of spiritual formation, youth pastors, worship pastors, etc.
Opportunities
- Contact one of the Ministry's Pastor Search Staff who will assist you in the process of application, focusing your ministry objectives, examining your resume, gifts for ministry and personal preferences.
- We will discuss opportunities and the search process.
- Make sure your application materials and resume are up-to-date.
- Consider your ministry strengths and how these match with those churches seeking a pastor.
- If you are outside of our area (the Pacific Southwest) and have interest in serving one of our Covenanting Churches, please use the document called Pastoral Application found on this page.
- Once we receive a completed packet of information, we determine the best way to respond. We may make contact with one or more of your references, and we may set up a structured telephone interview with you.
Having an Interview with a Search Team?
TM can provide an Interview Guide for Pastors. This booklet prepares a pastor for the interview with a Pastoral Search Team - questions to ask and what to look for.
Other Resources Provided
- Coaching - to help you discover possibilities and potential, plan action, explore and remove barriers, and prepare for next steps.
- Strengths Finder - discover your strengths. We are to lead from strengths rather than manage our weaknesses.
- Another tool that might be helpful to you is the Personality Factor Profile (aka DISC) designed to help an individual discover his or her behavioral work style.
