Mission

Transformation Ministries exists to build a movement of mission-empowering relationships by:
    deepening and developing pastors as spiritual leaders
    coaching and networking churches toward greater health and missional vitality
    supporting and initiating viable church planting partnerships.


Overview

The CEO/Mission Lead has the responsibility, authority and accountability to serve as the primary leader of Transformation Ministries. The three (3) broad areas in which the leadership is to be exercised are:  Spiritual Leadership, Core Competencies, and Visionary Planning and Achievement.


Spiritual Leadership
Scriptural and Spiritual Integrity
The CEO/Mission Lead upholds the high standards as described in, but not limited to, the Convictions of Transformation Ministries and the Leadership Covenant of Ethical Behavior.


Personal, Spiritual and Visionary Renewal Time

In addition to the CEO/Mission Lead’s own personal devotional time, the CEO/Mission Lead observes appropriate focused periods to evaluate and develop biblical, visionary and strategic leadership for the future of Transformation Ministries.


Organizational Leadership

The CEO/Mission Lead of Transformation Ministries (“TM”), exercises oversight, encouragement and support for the tasks carried on by the Board of Directors (“Board”), committees and staff.


Core Values of TM

The CEO/Mission Lead upholds the principles of the Core Values of TM to Covenanting Churches and partnerships.



Core Competencies


Developing Pastoral Leaders

The CEO/Mission Lead oversees the recruitment and development of pastors for TM churches who are committed to be effective spiritual leaders of missional congregations.


Church Health and Missional Vitality

The CEO/Mission Lead oversees the inspiration, resourcing and coaching of TM churches toward a high level of health and missional vitality.
 


Church Planting Partnership

The CEO/Mission Lead oversees the support and initiation of effective partnerships to start healthy churches.


Visionary Planning and Achievement

Strategic Planning and Leadership

The CEO/Mission Lead develops short- and long-range vision and strategic plans and goals for TM to assure its future viability and growth, and to build a movement of mission-empowering relationships.


The CEO/Mission Lead promotes growth through the planting of healthy churches, the addition of individual churches and through association or affiliation with like-minded ministry organizations.


Fiscal and Operational Management

The CEO/Mission Lead provides timely and sufficient information to the Board enabling it to provide effective stewardship and oversight.


The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for providing fiscal management through the Chief Financial Officer, including recommending a balanced budget to the Board, maintaining accurate records and conducting the annual audit.


The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for fund development and donor relations.
 
The CEO/Mission Lead manages the affairs of the corporation in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the Board of Transformation Ministries.


The CEO/Mission Lead serves as a voting member of the Board.


The CEO/Mission Lead performs all duties in the name of the corporation as required by law, including execution of legal instruments, or such other duties as authorized by the Board.


The CEO/Mission Lead, in consultation with the President, prepares agendas for the Board and the Executive Committee, and provides orientation programs and leadership development programs for Board members.


Staff Development and Performance
 
The CEO/Mission Lead facilitates a collaborative environment with the staff.


The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for recruiting and developing staff with high standards of biblical and moral integrity.


The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for maintaining appropriate personnel policies for TM staff.


The CEO/Mission Lead delegates tasks to staff that will best implement TM’s vision, mission, and Board policies.


Communications
The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for any public statements on behalf of TM.


The CEO/Mission Lead provides presentations to the Board, churches, constituents and staff that build understanding of and commitment to TM’s vision and mission.


The CEO/Mission Lead is responsible for the development of methods for communicating the vision and mission of TM.


Desired Qualifications

Advanced degree in a ministry field or equivalent experience
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in ministry
Ability to see TM in a larger context than their own ethnic circle
Competency in fund development and donor relations
Skilled communicator and motivator
Strong leadership development ability with a track record of proven results


Salary is commensurate with experience.
